Hawzah News Agency- According to reports, the ceremonies—organized by the Shia Sharia Association of Jammu and Kashmir—were staged in multiple locations and reflected a vibrant culture of religious devotion, expectation, and resilience rooted in the teachings of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them). The events were widely attended by clerics, students, academics, and devotees, underscoring the enduring vitality of the Mahdist tradition in the region.
One of the largest gatherings took place at the Nowgam Husayniyya in Kashmir, where hundreds of male and female seminary students, alongside large crowds of believers, convened for speeches and commemorations. Speakers emphasized the continuity of the Imamate and the living presence of God’s proof on earth, describing the reappearance of Imam Mahdi as the ultimate guarantee for the establishment of divine justice worldwide.
Ahead of the main ceremony, participants held a large, orderly, and peaceful march from the Nowgam Grand Mosque to the Bone Mohalla Hussainiya. Marchers chanted slogans expressing support for the Islamic Republic of Iran and for Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, while strongly condemning what they described as the oppressive policies of the United States and the Israeli regime. Organizers said the rally symbolized solidarity with oppressed peoples and a clear stance against global arrogance and injustice.
Addressing the gathering, Hojatoleslam Seyyed Hassan Mousavi, head of the Shia Sharia Association of Jammu and Kashmir, offered an assessment of current global developments. He denounced ongoing acts of aggression, genocide, and what he termed blatant violations of human rights and international law by the United States and the Israeli regime, calling them grave crimes against humanity.
Mousavi highlighted the role of leadership within the axis of resistance, saying that Ayatollah Khamenei, through “exceptional courage, deep insight, and steadfastness,” has stood firmly against the “Pharaohs of the age,” becoming a symbol of dignity, hope, and resistance for oppressed and freedom-seeking nations across the world.
He added that the Leader’s “wise and principled leadership” serves as a guiding light for oppressed peoples, noting that many conscious Muslims view this leadership as a strong fortress in the defense of truth against falsehood.
In the final part of his address, Mousavi called on the Muslim Ummah to prepare intellectually, morally, and practically for the era of reappearance. He stressed that genuine expectation of Imam Mahdi is not a passive or emotional state, but an active commitment to self-building and social reform based on the Qur’an and the Prophet’s tradition, paving the way for a global, justice-centered movement.
Observers said the ceremonies once again demonstrated that the culture of Mahdist expectation in Jammu and Kashmir remains dynamic and deeply intertwined with social responsibility, political awareness, and resistance to oppression—linking spiritual hope with concrete action in defense of justice.
